I am an English to Spanish Freelance Translator and Interpreter based in Mexico City. My main area of specialization is economy, including business, finances, accounting, and commerce. However, I have also acquired an important experience translating in the legal (contracts and affidavits), Human Rights, forensic medicine, and clinical research (protocols, clinical studies, and surveys) fields.
Before becoming a freelance, I worked as a bilingual secretary to foreign correspondents for international newspapers and magazines in Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico, including Adam Thomson, the Financial Times correspondent for Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Central America and Jeremy Lennard, freelance journalist for The Economist and The Guardian in Colombia; I translated a variety of news articles and transcribed interviews mainly about politics, economy, business, and social development in Latin America.
I hold professional translation and interpretation certificates from the UC San Diego Extension and City University London.
I normally work with SDL Trados Studio 2015, Fluency Now, and Word; however, I am definitely willing to learn other CAT tools and translation platforms according to your needs and preferences.
